Women make a difference in the workplace 👜👠.
When women are included in the workplace, everyone grows📈 — overall staff satisfaction, long-term retention rates, and the company’s bottom line.
At Curacel, we have always believed in empowering women to live their best lives, and that idea extends to our work as well. We strive continually to increase our female representation on our management team and made sure that all of our female employees are provided with equal opportunities for advancement.
Recognizing that including women in the workplace, it has a positive effect on society as a whole. It increases the number of women in positions of power and decision-making authority, allowing for more representation where it counts most. Women with higher levels of education contribute more to society than those without these qualifications — they earn more money for their families, have better educational outcomes for their children, contribute to political discourse more effectively, and so on.
Popular reports say women make up almost 50% of the workforce, and they are more likely to start businesses than men. However, female-run businesses (and in tech too) only receive 3% of venture capital funding and only 16% of companies have a woman on their board of directors. Furthermore, women are denied access to capital in general (which supports business growth).
When women are given equal access to funding and support, everyone wins. Companies that include women in their c-suite outperform their peers by 66%. Including diversity in your company’s culture also increases revenue — companies with diverse workforces make 15% more than those without.
The world is changing rapidly, and it’s time for companies to change with it.
What does this all mean? Simply put: When women are included in the workplace, everyone grows.
Moving Forward…
Still, in the spirit of celebrating Women’s Month, Curacel is hosting a Twitter Space chat with four amazing women (Nonye, Foluso, Ijeoma and Wumi) who will be discussing women’s roles in the workplace. And as a woman, how you can take your career to a greater height and get a seat at the table.
This is not one you want to miss.
